A financial donation from the Dharmavijaya Foundation for the cultivation project in schools.
Due to the limited space available to people living in urban areas, the opportunities for children of those families to interact with the environment have greatly decreased. As a solution, a cultivation project was initiated at Parakramabahu Vidyalaya, affiliated to Sujatha Balika Vidyalaya, Narahenpita, using the unused space of the school to connect school children with the environment. Based on the advice of Ven. Sri Vajiraramaya Nanaseeha Thero, the Honorable Patron of the Dharmavijaya Foundation and under the coordination of Mr. Lakshman Mahanama, Trustee of the Dharma Vijaya Foundation, Rs. 60,000/= was provided on the 2nd of January, 2025 for land preparation, purchase of seeds, purchase of fertilizer and other requirements for this worthy project. We wish to mention with respect that the above grants were provided from the Sheela Gunasekara Trust of the Dharmavijaya Foundation.
